[origin: WO9628260A1] The invention concerns equipment for conveying addressed shipment items to the delivery point indicated by the address, using containers conveyed consecutively along a continuous path. In order to improve the efficiency of such equipment, the invention proposes that the containers used have different capacities, corresponding to different shipment-item sizes, and that the placing of the items in the containers is controlled according to the capacities of the individual containers and the sizes of the individual items.
