Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9531620A1] A plastically deformable flashing material, in particular for roof flashing purposes in connection with roof windows and similar roof penetrating building structures, consists of a sheet-, web- or strip-shaped expanded-metal grid (1) covered on both sides by an elastomeric layer (2). The expanded-metal grid (1) is pretreated to substantially uniform extensibility in directions substantially orthogonal to each other corresponding to the longitudinal and cross direction of the sheet-, web- or strip-form. The elastomeric layers (2) are of thermoplastic material, and the sandwich material shaped by the expanded-metal grid (1) and the elastomeric layers (2) is corrugated in a continuous waveform parallel to one of said directions substantially orthogonal to each other.
