[origin: WO9531621A1] In order to replace an awning cloth, the old cloth is cut off near the winding pole (10). A magnetic strip (18) is attached (e.g. sewn or glued) to the end of the new awning cloth. The new awning cloth (12) is attached to the longitudinal groove (11) in the winding pole (10) by means of the magnetic strip which hooks into the longitudinal groove (11) by means of a hooked ridge (22) and clings to the winding pole (10) by magnetic attraction.
