Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0760349A2] The print carrier (82,83) has a cylinder (2) fitted with puncture needles (23) that impale trimmed strips (84,86). The strips are pushed completely off the needles and into a waste disposal unit. Preferably the strips are removed by radial fingers (6) fitted on a rotating shaft (4). The ends (9) of the fingers pass through cavities into the cylinder without coming into contact with the needles.
