Abstract (en)
The cap comprises a hemispherical crown (1) equipped with an inner elastic strip (10) sewn to form a truncated conical shape which converges inwards inside the crown. The elastic strip has a circumference which varies from a size which is greater than the average head to a size smaller than the average head. It is made from a woven material which can stretch along its circumference but not across its width. The lower edge of the crown has an inner circular reinforcing ring (13) of a semi-rigid plastic which is thinner at the sides than at the front and back to allow the crown to be folded for storage. The ring can be made from a material with a shape memory effect.

La présente invention concerne une coiffure à taille variable du type constituée par une partie principale en forme de calotte (1) hémisphérique susceptible d'être déformée pour réduire le volume avant le premier usage, notamment une casquette. Elle comporte une bande élastique (10) cousue pour former un élément tronconique convergent vers l'intérieur de la coiffure. La circonférence de cet élément tronconique varie entre une valeur supérieure à un tour de tête moyen, et une valeur inférieure à un tour de tête. Cet élément est fixé par son bord inférieur sur le bord périphérique (11) de la coiffure qui comporte préférablement des moyens de rigidification (13) propres à former dans une position d'utilisation stable une armature circulaire rigide et à se replier pour une position de stockage. <IMAGE>
