[origin: EP0761146A2] The instrument (3) can typically be a spoon (4), with a slot in its stem, through which a handle on the vessel protrudes. Alternatively, the spoon etc. can fit in a lengthwise recess in the vessel wall and extending to the bottom of the latter, with an inclined recess in the bottom in which the spoon head fits. The vessel handle can be mounted inside the groove, having lateral notches preventing the spoon working loose. The spoon stem can protrude above the vessel edge in the installed position.
