Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0761245A1] The respective pump heads incorporate inlet and outlet connections, apertures and valves. The outlet side head is movable. A pump chamber is provided, the inner vol. of which is variable, to produce a blood flow from the inlet connection through the pump chamber to the outlet connection. The drive effects a successive enlargement and redn. of the inner volume of the pump chamber. The inlet side head (33) is held stationarily on the frame (10) of the blood pump. The pump chamber (31) comprises a hose piece of rubber-elastic material which can be drawn out to a multiple of its original length. One hose piece end (32') is connected tightly to the inlet side head and the opposite hose piece end is tightly connected to the outlet side head (43).
