Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0761336A1] The manifold making process is used in making heat exchangers. The manifold (5) is laid in a tool mould and tightly closed in at the end. An internal pressure is built up in it using pressure input lines (50,51), counteracting the dies (10) being pressed into the manifold. The dies are so far into the manifold that the apertures and the surrounding areas are created which pressurising fluid is supplied from the manifold. After this, the dies are pulled out of the manifold, which is itself ejected from the tool mould.
