Abstract (en)
The colouring and impregnating process involves using an impregnating material and applying colouring. The colouring is applied dissolved in a solvent, the wood is then dried out to remove the solvent, and finally an impregnating material, usually colourless, is applied. The solvent for the colouring may be water. A vacuum or pressure process may be used to apply the dissolved colouring. The impregnating material may consist of organic or inorganic oils or resins or salts, in particular borax salt, or binders or desiccators or ultraviolet protection or solvents.

Vorgeschlagen wird ein Verfahren zum Einfärben und Imprägnieren von Holz, bei dem ein Imprägniermittel angewendet und ein Farbstoff aufgetragen wird, wobei der Farbstoff in in Lösungsmittel aufgelöster Form aufgetragen, anschließend das Holz zum Austreiben des Lösungsmittels getrocknet wird und schließlich ein in der Regel farbloses Imprägniermaterial aufgetragen wird.
