Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0761523A2] The method has the railway level crossing inserted in the track list for the train automatic safety control as a selectively lifted halt point. The level crossing logic (BUL) has a radio transceiver for communication with each approaching train (Z1,Z2), the halt point lifted when the crossing closure request signal is received by the level crossing logic and a corresponding level crossing closure indication is received by the train. The closure request signal is transmitted from the train at a point ahead of the calculated braking path dependent on the detected train velocity, with the braking command lifted upon reception of the crossing closure indication.
