[origin: EP0761854A1] At each working position of a texturing machine the yarn runs from a feed roller to a heater, a cooler, a false twister, a delivery roller and finally to a wind-up. A height adjustable stringing aid assists in placing the yarn in the heater and/or cooler and has a height adjustable slider (14) with a yarn guide (6). The slider (14) is a magnet which runs along a tube (26) and is of opposite polarity to a free magnetic piston (7) running under compressed air control inside the tube (26). Also claimed is a similar arrangement where the position of the yarn guide (6) provides a signal to a controller for opening or closing the doors of the heater.
