Abstract (en)
A machine for direct or indirect coating of a fluid or pasty medium (12), e.g. a dye, on a moving web of esp. paper or cardboard material, has a metering gap in the form of a fountain jet nozzle formed between an application lip (4) and a discharge side (8) lip. There is a feed channel (14) leading to the metering gap which is sub-divided like a comb defining many passageways (32) for the medium. Also claimed is a process for uniform metering of the medium using the machine where the passageways define a throttling point through which the medium is led.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Auftragswerk zum direkten oder indirekten Auftragen eines flüssigen oder pastösen Mediums (12) auf eine laufende Materialbahn, insbesondere aus Papier oder Karton, mit einem als Freistrahldüse ausgebildeten Dosierspalt, der zwischen einer zulaufseitigen (4) und einer ablaufseitigen Lippe (8) gebildet ist, sowie wenigstens einem zum Dosierspalt führenden Zuleitkanal (14). Das Auftragswerk ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Dosierspalt kammartig unterteilt ist und eine Vielzahl definierter Durchtrittsspalten (32) für das flüssige oder pastöse Medium (12) besitzt. <IMAGE>
