[origin: EP0761898A1] The flat roof tile has a central region (6) with a head ridge (2), a cover ridge (3) a foot ridge (4) and a side ridge (5). The head ridge has a groove defined between a pair of ribs, with the groove angled in the direction of the side ridge. Pref. the groove provided by the head ridge is angled at between 0.5 and 2 degrees relative to the plane defined by the roof slats, with a bearing strip (6133) associated with the head ridge extending parallel to the roof slat, with a width at least equal to the head free space and the thickness of the outer foot ridge.
