[origin: EP0762451A2] The switching mechanism has an actuation element, which returns to its initial position after operation, and at least one pendulum with switching protrusions which act upon a pivotable switching element (18) which actuates at least one contact arrangement. The angle bounded by the switching protrusions (14,16) on the pendulum is 90+alpha degrees, which is greater than the angle 90-beta degrees bounded by the engagement surfaces of the associated switching parts (22,24) on the switching element (18). The switching protrusion arms slide onto a contact edge when the switching element end position is reached, thus forcing the pendulum towards its central position.
