The electrical in-line electrical connector for multi-core cables has a main cylindrical housing Ä11Ü inside of which is located a sleeve Ä17Ü through which the cable passes and is secured by a threaded locking ring Ä25Ü. At the other end is the plug element Ä40Ü that receives the ends of the wires. Rotation between this and the main body Ä11Ü is prevented by a threaded insert Ä50Ü that has face teeth Ä57Ü to engage mating teeth Ä37Ü on the plug. The insert is formed by two semi circular ring sections with engaging surfaces Ä65Ü

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Endgehäuse für einen Steckverbinder mit einem Außengehäuse (11) und einem Zahnkranz (33), wobei der Zahnkranz (50) vom Außengehäuse (11) lösbar ist . Nach einer Ausführungsform der Erfindung besteht der Zahnkranz (33) aus mindestens zwei Teilen, die zusammenbringbar sind. Der Zahnkranz (33) hat ein Außengewinde (55) und das Endgehäuse hat ein Innengewinde (45) zum Einschrauben des Zahnkranzes (50) in das Endgehäuse. Das erfindungsgemäße Endgehäuse findet Anwendung mit einem Steckverbinder (40) zum Anschluß an einem Kabel (29) oder an einem Kabelbündel. <IMAGE>
