Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1228777A1] Injection unit with which several injections can be given, for e.g. pernicious anaemia, has a housing (15) in which a container (12) is axially displaceable in a holder (17) between end positions. A plunger (14) acts on a piston (23) and expels fluid from the container. A latching arrangement (27) under spring load engages in a tooth gap of the plunger and is surrounded by a drive tube (35). By movement of the plunger in the distal direction, i.e. away from the patient, a unidirectional forced connection is made between the plunger and the container for movement in this direction. With movement in the proximal direction, i.e. towards the patient, the plunger moves the container only up to its end position, then expels fluid.
