Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9529253A1] DNA encoding the late enzymes involved in the synthesis of the antibiotic cephamycin have been isolated and purified. The particular enzymes are involved in the late steps of cephamycin biosynthesis. These DNA's have been sequenced and cloned into recombinant expression vectors for their recombinant expression in host cells. The DNA's, vectors containing them and recombinant host cells which express them are useful for the production of antibiotics.
