Abstract (en)

To give a flame retarding character to paper, the paper web is unwound from a roll (1) to pass through a number of process stages at a defined speed, and then be wound into a roll of treated paper. The web moves through immersion stations (4,5) for impregnation with a solution, followed by a mangle (6) and a dryer. The solution for impregnation is at a higher temp. than 60 deg.C. Also claimed is an appts. to carry the paper web at a nominal speed between the unwinding roll (1) and a winder. The impregnation stations (4,5) have a solution supply (8) at a controlled temp. The web moves through the mangle (6) and dryer before rewinding.

Le papier est séché après avoir été imprégné d une solution d'éléments actifs qui y restent après séchage et le rendent retardateur de flamme, en le faisant circuler en continu entre une bobine (1) de papier à traiter et une bobine de papier traité, entre lesquelles on fait passer le papier successivement par un premier moyen de trempage (4), par un deuxième moyen de trempage (5), par un moyen presseur (6) et par un moyen sécheur, des moyens de réchauffage (11) étant prévus dans la source (8) de solution de traitement afin qu'elle soit portée à une température supérieure à 60°. <IMAGE>
