Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0763642A1] There is a mounting plate (10) fitted to the glass with adhesive prior to fitting the door. The back of the mounting plate has fitting which enable the door to be attached to the hinge without any special tools. A spring loaded catch (13) is clipped to the back of the plate and the hinge mechanism grips the plate at two points. The support bracket (5) fitted to the furniture item is linked to the glass door by linked hinge arms (8,9,11,12). A coupling element (15), which includes the spring loaded catch, couples the hinge to the door. The mounting plates can be fitted to the door by the manufacturer of the glass to allow a simple fitting.
