[origin: EP0763643A1] An arm (10) with locking piece is pivot linked to the casement or leaf (3) of a door or window, and to a carriage (12) supported on a guide rail (9) parallel with the wall opening. The locking piece has a two-armed lever (18) swivel-mounted on the arm between its link point (11) on the carriage and its link point (14) on the casement or leaf. A guide pin (20) on the lever arm (18b) facing the casement or leaf fits into a guide slot (21) on the casement or leaf. The slot has a holder (26) catch for the guide pin which is pushed in and out of the holder catch by means of a stop piece (23) on the fixed window or door frame (1). The lever arm (18a) facing the carriage covers a steering arm (37) which has a coupler curve connection (22) between its two ends. the steering arm's free end has a hooked catch (39).
