Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0763846A2] The cathode ray tube has at least one grid electrode with a stop opening (B2) and a ceramic carrier body (T2). The ceramic carrier body is made of a ceramic foil, with a foil thickness of less than 0.5 mm. The foil has a metallised surface in the vicinity of the stop opening. The metallised surface extends into the wall of the stop opening. The diameter of the metallised surface transverse to the radiation direction is less than 20 times the diameter of the stop opening e.g. between 2 and 10 times.
