[origin: WO9631641A1] The invention concerns a device for carrying away and collecting waste material produced during processing in a textile machine (1) (e.g. short fibres, seed trash, dust, etc.). Under the effect of a delivery air flow generated by a blower (8), the waste material (A) discharged from one or a plurality of working points of the textile machine is fed to a waste separating device (11) from which the waste material separated out of the delivery air flow is transferred to a store (15, 15.1). According to the invention, the store (15, 15.1) is tubular and comprises an inlet aperture (16) which opens out between the store end sections and is associated with an outlet aperture (22) provided with a blocking element (24). The outlet aperture (22) - viewed in the longitudinal direction of the store - is at a spacing from the inlet aperture and the store is provided over part of its longitudinal extension with a section (19) which is permeable to air.
