Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9533961A1] The invention concerns housings for air-conditioning equipment, the housings consisting of upper and lower rectangular frames made from extruded sections and held in position, spaced apart and parallel to each other, by load-carrying walls, as well as panels which are attached to the frame so that they can be taken off or moved. The extruded section is essentially rectangular and has on its surfaces only those attachments (1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9) necessary for assembling air-conditioning equipment housings. In particular, housing components such as doors and panels can be fastened in place outside with an airtight seal and vibrationally isolated from the rest of the housing, while equipment components such as compressors, heat exchangers and fans can be mounted inside the housing. The extruded section proposed also has in it two bolt channels (11, 12) enabling two extruded sections to be fastened to each other at right angles. In addition, panels and doors, as well as attachment fittings for them, are proposed which can be mounted in place on the basic housing construction to give an airtight seal.
