Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0764470A1] The rotary mill has the material fed into the centre of the two contra-rotating cylinders (6,8). It is reduced into smaller particles by hitting the blades (7) on the cylinders, ie. the particles are thrown by the inner cylinder onto the blades of the outer cylinder. A recycling path (23,14,15) feeds the coarse particles back into the centre of the cylinders while the fine particles are separated out by a mesh (5). The mesh surrounds the bottom section of the cylinders, and the upper part of the recycling duct. The milling action is adjusted by the feed direction and by the speed of the cylinders.
