Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9534709A1] Described are thermally stable textile smoothing agents suitable for use in spinning preparations and based on polyol fatty acid ester. Incorporated in the smoothing agents to increase the thermal stability is 0.05 to 8 % by wt., relative to the amount of polyol fatty acid ester, of esters of thiocarboxylic acids of the general formula (I): R<1>-S-R<2>-COOH; and/or (II): HOOC-R<3>-S-R<4>-COOH, in which R<1> is a monovalent group and R<2>, R<3> and R<4> the same or different bivalent groups selected from alkane, cycloalkane, aromatic or alkyl aromatic with 1 to 22 C-atoms. Such smoothing agents exhibits excellent thermal stability.
