[origin: WO9632581A1] An engine cylinder head with a two-part piston, including two portions, i.e. an upper portion (5) and a lower portion (3) with a washer (20) defining therebetween a space for a fixed, circumferentially continuous compression ring (4). The ring is lubricated by pressurised oil flowing through a ring-shaped space (15) between the outer ring surface and the washer (20). The inner ring surface engages the second part of a two-part piston moving through mutually coaxial cylindrical bores (17, 16) in the respective cylinder head portions (3, 5).
