Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19536374C1] The coarse iron particles are separated off magnetically and the oversized particles are screened. The still damp main fraction is then separated magnetically into a damp non-cleaned iron-containing fraction and a still damp iron-low mineral fraction. The damp iron-containing fraction is mixed with a powdered strongly water- binding polyacrylic acid and this mixture is then pulverised and magnetically separated into dry clean iron fractions and a mineral fraction. Further pulverisation can be carried out.
