[origin: WO9600020A1] A pulsator for hair dryers deflects the air flow (2) generated by the hair dryer in a time-dependent manner. The hair dryer has a housing in which are arranged means for generating the air flow (2) and an outlet opening for the air flow (2). The pulsator is designed as an accessory (1) to be attached to the hair dryer and has an inlet (3) that may be coupled to the opening of the housing, as well as an outlet (4). Means (7, 8, 9, 10) for delimiting an inner chamber (6) are provided between inlet (3) and outlet (4) of the accessory (1). An approximately spherical body (13) is enclosed within the inner chamber (6), in which it can freely move, and is set by the air flow (2) into a circular motion approximately perpendicular to the air flow direction.
