[origin: EP0766938A1] A mains-connected (2) base unit (1) has a low-voltage (2.5 to 6.0V) top socket outlet (11). The applicator`s (3) plastic container (4), rectangular in cross-section, holding at most 10 ml of the fusible product (20), is hand-held by the operative. A resistive element (9), on a flat former (10) mounted diagonally within the container, is connected to male contacts fitting the supply socket (11); these also provide mechanical support. The product is applied, in layers, by a roller (6) approx. 2 cm in diameter 2 cm long mounted on a transverse spindle at the top of the applicator. One or more sides of the container are transparent, showing the operative the interior level. Preferably, the applicators are disposable rather than refillable.
