[origin: EP0767004A1] The cutting device has a cutting shaft with several preferably V-section recesses holding the cutting tools (2). In cross-section the cutting tool has a shape other than square so that the cutting edge deviates in shape or in arrangement on the cutting shaft from a cutting edge of a square-section cutting tool. The cutting edge can have a shape widening out opposite a single tip or a shape with at least two cutting tips. The cutting edge can be a straight horizontal edge or curved.
