Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0767014A1] The machine has two uprights (11,12) with upper and lower planing units on either side of the metal strip. Two active rollers (2) turn about an axis lying perpendicular to the strip's direction of travel. A series of spaced thrust members (3)are located on a transverse frame (5). Each thrust member is mounted on a support and has a separate thrust roller (31) and a housing. the housing is attached to the frame by an adjustable length positioner (6) with an actuator and first and second (61) sliding members. The thrust rollers (31) are designed to interact with the active planing roller via an intermediate roller (21). The planing roller rotates in two bearings (22) on supporting brackets (41,41') attached to a chassis (4).
