Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0767026A1] A method is claimed for the electrochemical machining of a component (1). The component has a first part (17) liable to come into contact with an electrolyte and a second part (23) to be machined. The two parts (17,23) are separated by a geometrical transition line (33) at the surface of the component. The component (1) is arranged in the opening (18) of an electrically insulated screen (19) at the level of the transition line (33). The opening (18) is a conductor and carries a positive potential greater than that of the component. The method consists of:-a) the screen (19) is arranged in the work space (20) of an electrolysis cell and divides this space into two halves (21,22), one (22) of which contains the machining electrodes (26); b) the component (1) is arranged in the opening (18) with the part (23) to be machined in the half (22) containing the electrodes (26); c) the component (1) is then electrochemically machined.
