[origin: EP0767261A1] To produce a double-layer woven carpeting, with a twin weft binding, the pile yarn at the start of the patterning is passed in a cycle before the first binding over the back weft (11,21) inwards over the inner weft (12,22). The pile yarn for the end of the patterning is passed over the back weft (11,21) after the last binding, inwards over the inner weft (11,21) for the final binding. In the next cycle, the dead pile yarn band (31,41) is moved back. Also claimed is a mechanism for the selective control of the pile yarns, in three shed levels with at least one triple-setting Jacquard.
