[origin: EP0767267A1] For the dry cleaning of textile materials, the hydrocarbon solvent concentration is measured continuously during the cleaning process, for the max. concentration and temp, and the values are processed in a computer. The hot air feed is controlled according to the concentration as a guide value and the temp. along a characteristic of the concentration. The concentration is controlled to keep it below the lower explosion threshold under all conditions, and especially at 75%. Also claimed is an assembly with an infra-red measurement unit for the concentration, directly at the drum outlet, for a continuous measurement of the concentration until the end of the drying action. A temp. monitor is at the same location. An internal machine computer control gives memory programmed signals, as control signals for the hot air feed. The drying control is a fuzzy logic control system.
