Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0767299A2] The thermostatic valve has a main valve (3) and a short-circuit valve (10). The short-circuit valve is allocated an additional device (13) to increase the efficiency of the coolant flow deflected onto the expansion element (2) which regulates the main valve. A short-circuit valve controls the flow cross-section at the mouth (12) of a supply channel (11) of the short-circuit pipe (11'). The mouth has a nozzle (13) enclosing the short-circuit valve and serving as an extra device with an outlet opening (14) directed towards the expansion element.
