Abstract (en)
The indicator includes a tab (10) which is formed from a thermoplastic material and has a thickness which is less than that of the radome or the part it is required to monitor. It is placed in position (5) in a male section of the radome moulding. The moulding is closed and a thermoplastic is injected into the mould so as to partially fuse the tab and integrate it totally with the body (12) of the radome. The tab is placed coaxially in the nose of the radome on the internal surface with a hollow (11) which is complementary to a retaining bulge on the male section of the mould.

Indicateur d'érosion pour radôme thermoplastique, typiquement réalisé en PEEK injecté. Une pastille (10), en PEEK de couleur différente, est d'abord fixée dans le moule, en arrière du nez du radôme. Puis, le PEEK du radôme est injecté, noyant ainsi cette pastille (10) derrière le nez du radôme. Après une certaine usure, cette pastille (10) devient apparente. <IMAGE>
