Abstract (en)

[origin: DE4422526A1] The invention relates to a system for bonding together steel sections (1, 2) of any cross-section, so that their opposite faces (6, 7) be permanently secured together. According to the invention, the facing ends of the steel section (1, 2) are held outside or in by a sleeve (3, 26), in the overlap region (21) the facing surfaces (18, 19, 20) of the steel sections (1, 2) and the sleeve (3, 26) are roughened and the space (13) is filled with grouting mortar (11), or one of the facing ends of the steel sections (2) is surrounded on the outside or inside by one end (15) of a sleeve (3', 26') and the other end (14) of the sleeve (3', 26') is firmly secured to the face (6) of one steel section (1), and in the overlap region (21) the facing surfaces (18, 20) of the steel section (2) and the sleeve (3', 26') forming an intermediate space (13) are roughened and the space (13) is filled with grouting mortar (11) which may be injected at high pressure. The invention also describes a process for making such a bond.
