[origin: EP0768173A1] The machine has three units (3,4,7) connected together by a forced drive (22) and driven by separate electric motors (18,19,21). One motor (18) with its control loop (24) and rotational speed set-point (26) acts as a master, and the other two with their control loops (36,37) dependent upon the master current set-point (28) as slaves. Each slave control loop incorporates a smoothing filter (46) for the set-point current with a parameter-setting input (47) and a current output level adaptor (39). This provides a desired value which is compared (41) with the actual current (44) drawn by the slave motor concerned.
