[origin: EP0768498A2] The equipment has a fan (3) and a filter (4). The latter has an intake on one side (6) for uncleaned air, and has an outlet on the opposite side for clean air. The equipment is enclosed by the walls of a plenum chamber (1), and one wall has an intake opening which is connected to the fan in order to suck in air. Another wall has an outlet opening (9), against which the filter outlet rests. The wall of the chamber which is opposite from the outlet, is adjacent to the side of the filter in which the intake is arranged, in order to form a space (12), which is connected with the remainder of the chamber. The fan may be adjacent to the filter in a direction which is perpendicular to the clean airflow.
