Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9535257A1] The invention relates to a process for the purification of an impure phosphoric acid prepared by the wet process. The acid to be purified is concentrated to 58-68 % P2O5 acid by heating. The impurities are removed from the acid by crystallization, as a compound M<2+> (H2PO4)2.n.H3PO4, where M<2+> is a bivalent metal ion impurity and n may vary within 2-5.
