[origin: WO9632039A1] A mattress contains a slatted base, preferably of the kind that consists of two layers of parallel slats (4, 4a) spaced apart by elastic bodies (2, 2a). The mattress layer (1, 3), with or without mattress cover (7, 7a) may be provided on one or on both sides of the slatted base. The individual components of the mattress may be glued, firmly linked and/or wrapped in a sheath (6).
