[origin: EP0770555A1] A product package is disclosed which comprises a carton 10 and a dispensing device 12. The carton, which is typically formed of coated board, has an opening region 20 defined by a line of weakness 24. The dispensing device 12 has a cusp 34 which, when urged against the opening region 20, causes rupture of the line of weakness 24. The dispensing device 12 may then be secured to the carton 10 by means of a screw-threaded portion 32 of its body. The dispensing device 12 has an openable cap 44 to allow product to be dispensed from the carton to it. <IMAGE>
