Abstract (en)
The ignition current is supplied through a high-voltage (HV) distributor (1) to the four cylinders (Z1-Z4) of a four-stroke engine. A misfire detector (F) identifies the cylinder (Z1) which should have been fired at top dead centre (OT), and permits identification of the cylinder (Z3) needing to be fired next after about 180 deg. O in the first of the two crankshaft revolutions. The particular cylinder can be chosen at random from the beginning so that cylinder identification can be performed without provoking any misfire. When a misfire is detected in any cylinder, that cylinder is accepted as the particular one.

Bei einer Vorrichtung zur elektronischen Zündsteuerung bei Brennkraftmaschinen in Kraftfahrzeugen mit einer zylinderselektiven ruhenden Hochspannungsverteilungseinheit ist die Hochspannungsverteilungseinheit derart ausgestaltet, daß zur Zylindererkennung zunächst ein beliebiger Zylinder als ein bestimmter Zylinder angenommen wird, daß dieser Zylinder zu dem für den bestimmten Zylinder vorgegebenen Zeitpunkt gezündet wird und daß anschließend im Falle einer Erkennung eines Zündaussetzers bei einem anderen Zylinder dieser andere Zylinder als der bestimmte Zylinder angenommen wird.
