The gas burner has a contactless control device (7) for operating the magnetic valve (9) inserted in the gas feed line, in response to a pan being placed over the burner grid (12) or lifted from the burner grid. The contactless control device is positioned in the dished zone enclosing the burner and detects the presence of the pan by a photoelectric method or via electromagnetic field evaluation.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Topf-Erkennungssystem, bestehend aus einem Gasbrenner, einem berührunglosen Steuerungsgerät, dem Steuerungsgerät zugeordnet und funktionsgekoppelt ein Magnetventil, wobei die Brenner-Brennerpfeife und das berührungslose Steuerungsgerät geschlossen in die Herdschüssel integriert sind. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
