[origin: EP0770916A2] The feed device has a feed channel (10) along which the film cassettes (11-13) are displaced in the direction of their longitudinal axes under their own weight. A separation device separates the successive film cassettes from one another, by providing a frictional retaining force for a following film cassette (12) while the preceding film cassette (11) continues to move forwards. Pref. the separation device uses a clamp element with a friction pad brought into contact with the film cassette to be retained. The reciprocation of the clamp element between the working and released positions is controlled via a pneumatic cylinder (27).
