Abstract (en)
A cold cage is claimed for use in electromagnetic induction melting with an induction device incorporating several internal metallic partitions (10) and at least one external electrical insulating partition (20). The cold cage is circular and divided into sectors (2). Each sector (2) incorporates one internal metallic partition (10), at least one part of the external insulating partition (20) and a system for the circulation of fluid. Each internal partition (10) is covered by at least a part of the external partition (20). In at least one sector (2), the system for circulating the fluid is created by cutting out at least two cooling channels (11,12) in one or more of the two partitions (10, 20). The partitions are coupled in such a manner that the outer surface (10b) of each internal partition (10) may be overlapped by the internal surface (20a) of the external partition (20) in a manner that closes and seals the cooling channels (11,12).

L'invention concerne une cage froide pour dispositif à induction de révolution autour d'un axe (X-X) divisée en secteurs (2), chaque secteur (2) comprenant une cloison interne (10) métallique et au moins une partie de cloison externe (20) en matériau isolant électriquement, ainsi qu'un moyen de circulation de fluide. Pour réaliser ce moyen, l'invention consiste à creuser au moins deux canaux de refroidissement (11, 12): soit dans la cloison interne (10) métallique, perpendiculairement à sa surface externe (10b), soit dans la cloison externe (20) isolante, perpendiculairement à sa surface interne (20a), et à accoler les deux cloisons (10, 20) de façon à fermer et rendre étanches les canaux (11, 12). <IMAGE>
