Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9512871A1] The present invention relates to a process and device for converting coded remote control signals. According to said process a pulse train received via a high-frequency supply in converted into a digital data word and at least partly compared with a code word stored in the region of a receiver in order to trigger at least one predeterminable function after a positive result of comparison. In order to provide a process and a device with the features above-mentioned which couple codability and efficiency without a visual link between transmitter and receiver with better shaping facilities and freedom in the application to various functions, the invention proposes that, together with or besides a code word, at least one item of information on at least one function allocated to the code be stored on the receiver side, the transmitted code word contain at least one item of information on a function to be triggered, besides the code section, and the comparison between the data word received and the stored code word also comprise the comparison of the information on the function to be triggered.
