Abstract (en)
Absorption bodies (1,2) made of a mixture of wood and concrete. The proportion of wood chips amounts to at least 65 percent of the total volume of aggregate material. The length of the wood chips is at least 4 cm, with a thickness of at least 1 mm and a width of at least 2 mm. The noise absorbing material is shaped into blocks. Rectangular blocks are placed between the rails of a railway track and differently-shaped rectangular blocks or blocks with shoulders may be placed outside the rails.
