Abstract (en)

The window frame consists of a fixed frame section (9) fitted into a window aperture (2) in the building wall (3) and designed to receive an inner opening frame section (4) with one or more glazed panels. The fixed frame section has a housing (13) above it to contain a roller shutter (14) which extends inside the fixed frame section when down and rolls up inside the housing when raised, freeing the frame so that the window can be opened. The side plates (12) of the roller shutter housing are situated in line with and fixed to the uprights (11) of the fixed frame section, creating a space of variable depth in front of the rolled shutter which contains a layer of insulating material (22). The window surround also has a trap-door (24) which gives access to the shutter housing from the inside.

Châssis de fenêtre ou analogue, comportant un dormant fixe (9) apte à être logé devant une ouverture (2) prévue dans le gros oeuvre (3) d'un bâtiment, ce dormant recevant de façon en elle-même connue l'encadrement (4) d'un ouvrant mobile, à un ou deux vantaux, et comprenant, au-dessus de l'ouvrant un coffre (13) contenant un volet roulant (14), propre à s'étendre à l'intérieur du dormant devant l'ouvrant lors de la fermeture de ce volet, ou au contraire à s'enrouler sur lui-même à l'intérieur du coffre en dégageant l'ouvrant, qui peut alors être manoeuvré pour l'ouverture de la fenêtre, caractérisé en ce que les joues (12) du coffre (13) sont disposées à l'aplomb et solidarisées de montants ou tapées verticales (11) du dormant pour délimiter un espace de profondeur variable en avant du volet, réservé à la mise en place d'une couche isolante (22) dont l'épaisseur est fonction de cette profondeur. <IMAGE>
