[origin: EP0773009A2] The support (3) is arranged in front of the rear of the user and on the support is a hand-operated crank (16) together with a force transmission from the crank to at least one running wheel. The walking aid comprises a first structural group formed as a ground group (2) with running wheels (7), together with a second structural group in the form of a support which can be removed out of a usage position in relation to the ground group. The second group can be brought into a transport position, in which the volume accepted by the walking aid is smaller than with the support in its usage position. The crank has arms (18) with adjustable length. The driven running wheel is connected to the support and is part of the structural group which includes the support.
